Week 4: DEGENERATION GAME (28-29/03/2015)

In the wake of the mysterious infestation the complex and its occupants are sealed in quarrantine. As neighbouring buildings are evacuated, witness accounts of erratic behaviour in the apartment block lead to wild speculation about the source of the outbreak. Unexplained disappearances of children from the hospital decades earlier are recalled, malignant rumours of ritual abuse remembered, and a disturbing theory that the missing children had been subjected to unorthodox psychological experiments in a private wing of the institution is exposed. While conspiracy theories proliferate in the world outside, Ricky Phelan finds himself isolated – the last lucid member of an increasingly violent segregated community. As he struggles to fortify his domicile Phelan is tormented by the sound of frantic scratching within the walls and a prickly itch beneath his skin…
