Week 3: BLACK MOULD (21-22/03/2015)

While Phelan struggles to reconcile his nocturnal revelations with the waking world, the occupants of neighbouring apartments are subjected to more tangible disruptions: dark fungal stains begin to bleed through the pristine surfaces of their designer habitats. Wallpaper patterns are reconfigured by organic colonies into figurative formation: like shadows cast by invisible burglars. Signs of some malign parodic intelligence, haunting the building’s infrastructure? Black mould draws a damp, pubic triangle in the top right corner of every living room… spores settle in warm, wet lungs. And sleepers stir.
